Goal met!!!!! PDF Print E-mail

223.5 today! Met my ten pound a month goal four days early!! Creeping up on half way there! I've been having a lot of soup lately - all the different brands now carry light versions of their soups - some as low as 60 cal. a serving. It satisfies the comfort-me-I'm-cold feeling and it takes a while to eat - especially if you use a regular spoon and not a soup spoon so it makes it seem like more. Throw some wheat thins in - you can have 16 of those per serving - that's a lot of crackers!! and it's a very filling meal. In the evenings I've been having a big old mug of hot water and I get the same feeling from that - comforting because of the heat and filling. Feels good to hold the hot mug in my hands. I have a special mug for that - it's huge so again it feels like more. Anything I can do to make myself feel full and satisfied within my calorie count is well worth doing. My middle digit used to be a six as in 267 - now it's a two, pretty soon to be a one and then a zero. So exciting. I have a longer term goal - I'm going on a trip in early June and I would like to be under 200 for that trip. I think that's completely doable. 24 pounds away in over three months. It's simply a matter of eating well and hitting the gym. Piece of (virtual) cake.
