Closet Shopping PDF Print E-mail

Anyone who has been up and down the scale as many times as I have - has a whole range of sizes in their closet. Today when I went to work I put my grey pants on and when I looked in the mirror realized I had serious baggy butt going on. Which is a very good thing. Wore them to work anyone because I was enjoying the tiny little swish of fabric that was happening when I walked - not the swish of chaffing thighs but the swish of too much fabric. When I got home I went shopping in my own closet for pants that might fit a bit better. Another thing all women know is that a size tag isn't reliable. Just because it says 16 (that was the label in the baggy butt pants) doesn't mean it's a true 16. I found five pairs of pants also marked 16 in my closet and found that three of the five fit just fine and two are too small. I'm wearing 18 jeans that are very baggy but my 16 jeans won't zip. (yet!) I've got tubs in the basement full of clothes that are too small - but there is a growing pile of clothes on the floor of my closet that are too big. One day soon I'll get that closet sorted out for good - no more tubs in the basement, no more overstuffed closet. Just clothes in pretty colors and in a reasonable healthy size.  One size. My size.
220 this morning. Had a hope of being under 220 by the end of the month. Looks like I might make it!
Saw Kirstie Alley on Oprah today. She has really struggled with the up and down thing - I bet she's got a ton of sizes in her closet. She's trying to lose it again - 90 pounds she thinks and will have a new reality show depicting her struggle. She'll have cameras in her house following her around as she exercises. She's also got a new company that sells a program that includes meals and diet drinks. Which makes me think she's still hoping for a magical cure.
