Again. That number. You may be tired of hearing about that number, but not as tired as I am. So I will no longer put that particular number in my blog. Ever again. I may weigh that number, but I will not honor it by writing it down. I hereby put a hex on tht number and ban it from my home. Today: veggie omelet, one slice of whole grain toast, 100 calorie yogurt, turkey melt with whole grain, tomatos and a bit of horseradish cheese. One more day without sugar. One more day of feeling great and feeling guilt free.
I followed a woman into the grocery store yesterday and was taken back by how heavy she was. Her walking was labored - she sort of swayed from side to side as she put one foot in front of the other. Her sweatshirt was pulled tight around her padded hips. I passed her several times as we walked up and down the aisles of the stores and I couldn't stop thinking about what her story must be. Why is she so heavy? What happened to her to cause the hole in her soul that she is trying to fill with food? Without knowing it, she helped me recommit to my plan. Because I know how easy it would be to give up on my plan, to go back to my old ways and in no time at all I could be just as heavy as she is.

And just as sad.
