Biggest Loser tonight was very inspiring. The theme seemed to be no matter what happens, I'll keep getting back up. Or no matter what life throws at you, you'll just keep going. So true. There is always going to be stuff coming my way. Work stuff, family stuff, kid stuff, stuff stuff. If I allow all of that to lead me back to food, I'm giving up. But if I keep going no matter what gets thrown at me, then I'll be successful. And once again, it all comes down to choice. I need to choose every minute of every day to eat well and to move my butt.
Started running up and down the stairs today. Quite a workout. When I have a few minutes at work - or when I just want to get away from my desk forĀ a few minute I can go up and down the stairs three or four times. Get my heart rate up and get my legs working. Most of what I enjoy doing both at work and at home involves sitting - writing, quilting, reading. So I have to be more vigilant about getting my butt moving during the day - not just at the designated gym time.
I loved the courage I saw on so many faces tonight on the Loser show. Each team chose a captain who both took the job so serioiusly. Each time also chose a cook who again took the role as a serious responsibility. I saw courage in the faces at the gym during the workouts and courage during the super muddy challenge. And the change in most of their bodies is phonomenal.
Choosing to move. Choosing to eat well. Choosing to not let the stuff get to me.
