Had a long drive this afternoon but planned it well. Had a good breakfast before I left so no need to make choices there. Had almonds with me in case I couldn't find the right foods. But I needed to stop for something to drink. Pulled in to a gas station/store and had to walk all the way from the front door to the very back corner to get to the soda case. Along the way I passed all my old friends. Bag after bag of chips, and popcorn. Bar after bar of chocolate. And a whole freezer full of ice cream. And it was tough. How easy to scoop up a bag of cheesy popcorn and a couple of snicker bar ice cream bars. Or an armful of reeses peanut butter cups. And then escape to my car. But I didn't do it. Walked to the back, got my soda, and headed home. Ran the gauntlet with no injuries.
